Short reviews of the types of online poker players
Poker is a game played around the world and if you sit at a poker table, you’ll encounter different types of players playing styles. We will discuss the nature of the players and some basic concepts in the bet. Let’s start with the first type of poker players:
a) Tight-Aggressive
This type of player plays very few hands pre-flop, but when one plays very aggressive. Decisions are made primarily in terms of the hand they have and how the opponent to play. The best way to play against these players is the style of playing track to understand and use against them.
Tight aggressive is the type of game that would need to use it in the beginning of the tournament. If you need more information about online poker rooms make sure that you read as many online poker reviews as possible. Or you could read the Full Tilt Poker Review.
b) Hyper aggressive
These players want to bet, raise or re raise. They are the ones who leave early in the tournament or have a big stack of the tournament to end. These players can be a problem especially if you left on the table. When you catch a good hand on the flop, you must try to slow your play with this kind of player. The final placements of NGA (when the blinds are very high) you are trying to be that type of player to steal as many blinds.
c) Calling stations
They never would have thought that what their opponents have. Do not show too much aggression and instead prefer to pay than to do it. It is difficult to “read” the players because they only give a basis of conversation with each pair, 2 pair in some cases even the straight or flush (if board books for a better combination can make them).
Best is a solid game and to prevent complications and to do “tricks” against these players. Try to avoid these players to steal their blinds.
d) Loose
Loose players will bet or raise with a mediocre hand will give in any position. It remains in each hand until showdown hoping for a straight / colors on the river and pay anything to see all cards. These players typically lose more than gain in the long term.
e) Week-Tight
These players take the most cards pre-flop, but when playing a card means that a premium. So these players are very easy to read, probably the easiest. Against this poker players should always bet on the flop because 2 of the 3 cases, they come with the flop. If your cash or money to get these players play even usually so tight that you can steal their blinds.
It's always good to make a player note with the type of players that you encounter. This way you are going to make your life easier the moment you encounter that player again in the future. Most US poker sites are going to allow you to make player notes.
